Venue of the 2018 Miss & Mrs. Nationwide Pageant
Scottish Rite Masonic Center
A Historic Venue for the 2018 Nationwide Pageants
202 South 20th Street Omaha, Nebraska
We are proud to announce the Scottish Rite Masonic Center for our venue for the 2018 National Pageant! Omaha has a bright history of hosting national events…..the 2008, 2012 & 2016, as well as the upcoming 2020 USA Olympic Swimming trials, the annual College World Series, as well as numerous pageants. The Nationwide Charitable Foundation is excited to host the Miss & Mrs. Nationwide 2018 national pageants in Omaha, Nebraska!
The Scottish Rite Masonic Center is a Masonic building begun in 1912 and opened in 1914, it remains in use today by the Scottish Rite. The building was designed in the Neoclassical Revival by Omaha architect John Latenser, Sr. In 2011, the building was listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Cited in its nomination to the Register were both its architectural significance and the prominence of Freemasonry in Omaha’s business and governmental leadership in course of the building’s history.
The building, which sits on the corner of 20th and Douglas streets in downtown Omaha, was recently given a $700,000 facelift and opened to the public. The exterior of the massive, neoclassic structure is striking with its stone pillars, water fountain and gated courtyard that is lush with foliage in spring and summer. The four-story building is a feast for the eyes inside as well, featuring ornate paintwork that has been restored to its original condition and a sprawling ballroom with original wood flooring which rivals any venue in Omaha!
The Nationwide Charitable Foundation is proud to be hosting the 2018 National Pageants in the 480-seat auditorium, an architectural gem with it’s grand, sweeping curves that give it a regal air! Join us July 15 to witness Nationwide’s return to the stage with the double crowning of Miss & Mrs. Nationwide 2018!
