  • If I am crowned Ms. Nationwide: I will promote the title and the Pyloric Stenosis awareness foundation proudly. Representing this beautiful nation would be an amazing opportunity and I would wear the crown with the utmost dignity.

  • Bio: Lydia Wells, a native of Cincinnati, Iowa, is a dental assistant in Centerville, Iowa. She is currently working a full time job doing what she loves, and raising two beautiful children. She enjoys running, walking, boating, ATV riding, grilling, and basically anything outdoors. She was the 2001 Youth Evangelist of the United Methodist Church Conference, and had a short story published about herself titled “Little Girl That Saved the Church.”
    A dedicated member of the Centerville community, Lydia has been the chair of their Pancake Day Queen Committee for the last 3 years, and has served on the committee since 2013. Pageants are not anything new to Lydia as she was American Coed Miss Iowa Jr. Teen 2005, and National American Miss Iowa Teen 2008.  She also serves as the Coordinator of the Miss Putnam County Fair Pageant 2020, and helped with Ragbrai 2019 when Centerville served as an overnight stop on the annual Bike Ride Across Iowa.
    Lydia has been the 4-H leader in Appanoose County since 2009. She is strongly focused on today’s youth, and as a 4-H leader, encourages her 4-H kids to attend nursing homes to get involved with the seniors who live there. Almost every holiday she sponsors events at their local care centers to continue encouraging the community’s youth to interact with the community’s seniors. She strives to make a positive impact on the community’s youth. They are tomorrow’s future!
