  • If I am crowned Mrs. Nationwide:  I will continue my mission to raise awareness about PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) through:
    • Collaborating with high schools and colleges to educate women on PMDD.
    • Creating more peer support groups (in person and online).
    • Promoting continuing education for medical professionals about PMDD and improving treatment plans.
    • Developing cycle tracking programs to be used in sex education classes and offer online courses.
    • Working with nonprofits who specialize in PMDD and suicide prevention to aid in research, fundraising, and clinical research.
    • Continue to be guest on podcasts and public speaking engagements focusing on PMDD to raise awareness.

  • Bio: Melissa Roth is the Director of Credentials at TRS Healthcare. She achieved a BS in Marketing Management and a MA in Leadership from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. Her hobbies include thrift store shopping, crafting, volunteer work, attending concerts, and attending her kid’s sports.
    She has been involved in the community with the Santa Lucia Festival Committee for 20+ years serving as historian and was honored to have served as the first female Vice President and President of the committee. In her church, Brookside Church Omaha, she has served as the Online Service Moderator and with the Durham Museum as a Admissions and Membership volunteer, Santa’s helper and on call volunteer. Melissa has also volunteered with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank as a donor and volunteer and with KGBI 100.7 Radio as an Event Volunteer.
    She is passionate about her Personal Platform: PMDD Awareness and Education – Track Your Cycle…Period!  (PMDD = Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) She plans to use her platform to work with local high schools and colleges to educate women on PMDD and hold quarterly online tracking cycle classes.
    Melissa loves radio contests! It does not matter if she has to dial fast to get through or register online. During a two-year span where she saw over 15 movie premieres, 5 concerts including Britney Spears, and many sporting events through winning radio contests! Her most outrageous contest was being chosen to participate at Westroads Mall in Omaha, Nebraska where she was attempting to win a tanning bed. Her personal motto is: “If you can dream it, you can do it” (Walt Disney)
