Anna Peters is an EL (English Language) middle school teacher with Omaha Public Schools. She is going into her 24th year of teaching this fall. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education: Special Education as well as a Masters degree in reading with ESL endorsement. Recently, she acquired her endorsement in Supervision: Administration. She is also an adjunct professor with the College of Saint Mary in the Master of Arts teaching program.
Even though she was raised as a military brat and born in South Korea, she calls Omaha her home, having lived her most of her life. She has been married to her husband Bob for almost 23 years and they have one daughter, Hannah, who is 22 years old and studying Human Services: Applied Psychology this fall at College of Saint Mary.
Last April, Anna was crowned Mrs. Nebraska America 2018. This was no small feat as it took her 10 attempts before winning the crown. Anna’s legacy she hopes to leave behind is to “Never Stop Dreaming”, her motto during her reign. She made close to 80 appearances and events all over Nebraska. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family which includes her two dogs, Lucy and Hazel, loves to read, shop, volunteer in her community, binge on Netflix and stay involved in the world of pageantry by coaching and judging..
